Section Rolling
Section rolling, sometimes known as ring rolling, is the most cost-effective way of producing quality curved items. Many different sections can be rolled to almost any prescribed radii - pipe, tube, rhs, angle iron, flatbar, channel etc. to name a few. The end results of this type of process can produce a vast array of products, such as spiral handrails, angle rings, heat exchanger coils, archways, conveying equipment etc.
It is possible to have different radii on the same part, for example, an architectural handrail that requires a large sweeping curve of 3000mm radii and then a sharp return of only 100mm radii. This process eliminates the need for costly welding and grinding on site and leaves you with a perfect finish at the right price!
Our capabilities include:
- Rolling of many different sections up to 115mm
- Flat coiling of pipe, tube, angle, flats etc.
- Pitched coils for spiral handrails, corkscrews, cooling coils & heat exchangers
- Curves with straights - for example signposts with a 180° bend and two straight legs
